Experienced
offshore superintendent with over 30 years in-depth expertise in the
construction and installation of all offshore oil and gas related
projects. A strong team leader and keen team player with exceptional
interpersonal and problem solving skills. Experienced in many world-wide
locations while working with and supervising multi language/cultural
workforces at all levels.
Currently
NCCCO Certified on LBT, LBC, TLL, TSS, BTF and STC with a Class A CDL
License and TWIC card.
First
started operating cranes offshore in 1976 and have been operating,
supervising and/or giving signals off and on ever since. Before crane
operating, learned rigging knowledge on the deck.
Have
operated Crawler Cranes with lattice booms on barges and on land which include
Link Belt 281, American 9299, 9310, 7260, Manitowoc 3900, 4000, 4100 with
either Friction or Toggle controls. Booms were different lengths up to 200
foot with tonnage from 50 to 250 tons. Determined weight, COG, and boom
radius with proper positioning of crane for all work performed.
Have
operated Hydraulic Cranes with Hydraulic Booms which include P&H and
Grove on land. Have also operated Hydraulic Stationery Pedestal Cranes on
offshore platforms for offloading of supply boats and barges, making lifts
with pipes, beams, materials, etc. around the platform.
Have
operated Overhead Cranes which include P&H on land and in a plant
setting.
As a
crane operator at Speed Fab-Crete, I operated a Link Belt lattice boom
friction crane to lift beams, materials, decking, and cement panels from
the ground up to the riggers while building metal framed water pumping
stations.
As a
hot metal crane operator at Kaiser Aluminium, I operated traveling overhead
cranes to lift, move, pour, and position hot metal loads, using hoisting
hook attachments. Also, observed load hook-up and determined safety of
load.
Thorough
knowledge of working on derrick barges, setting jackets, umbilical cable
laying, heavy lift operations, decks, FPSOs, SBMs, plems, risers,
spools, tie-ins, hook up projects, etc.
Work
experience includes pipe laying from 4” to 48” in shallow, mid-depth and
deep water environments on board moored and dynamically positioned barges.
A
proven track record with many oil majors including ARAMCO, B.P., Oxy,
Shell, EPMI, Total, ONGC, AMCO, Agiba, Zadco, AdmaOpco, BSP (Brunei),
SOC,QP (Qatar) and Petrobel, where work included pipelines, cables,
carrying out jacket and deck installations, spool piece installations,
subsea risers, and tie-ins.
As
superintendent, I liaised with the Client, provided general administration
and overall supervision of the barge with the responsibility of all
personnel and equipment on board the barge. Coordinated with base for
administration of the barge, progress reporting to achieve completion of
projects on schedule, future barge requirements and other relevant
important matters. Motivated, implemented and ensured all work activities
related to the job met company standards, specifications, practices, and
procedural requirements and were done in the highest standards of safety in
a professional manner.
As
barge foreman, I was responsible for all offshore construction work to be
performed by the barge and controlled all activities. I supervise all
personnel on the deck of the barge and ensured the work was performed with
quality along with improved productivity. Ensured the implementation of
approved installation procedures and revised the procedure during
implementation as necessary. Ensured safety for all operations performed by
the barge.
While working at Koch Pipeline, I started work as a welder helper,
truck driver, heavy equipment operator, and finished as a pipeline
welder-fabricator (pump skids). I gained experience in managing a gathering
and pumping system of 2500 miles of pipelines onshore and doing a lot of
hot taps into existing live lines. Other
work included doing road bores; where we put the casings under the road,
after boring we put down the pipeline, tied it in and put the sealer in. I
also did numerous creek and river borings.
